Description
I have just acquired dozens of old store stock TV and movie scripts
from a dealer in Pop Culture/movie & TV materials who passed away. This example is an old photocopy of the 157 page issue which is believed to be intended for Charlie Hodge, Elvis's long time confidant
("
Charlie first met Elvis in 1955 backstage at the Ellis Auditorium in Memphis, TN. where Charlie was performing with his gospel quartet, "The Foggy River Boys". He befriended him in the Army and would continue working for Elvis for 17 years until Elvis's death. In his time working with Elvis he became Elvis's closest friend, confidant, sideman, vocal coach, member of the Memphis Mafia, he sang harmony for Elvis, and was his stage manager.")
This copy is bound by the old brass "spread open" binding clips. While this has the photocopied signature of Hodge in the upper right, we do not know if this was ever in the hands of Hodge, or more likely was one of several copies that were used by him and other persons involved in the production. It is marked in the lower right as being a "Final Draft", with Dick Clark as Executive Producer and Dick Clark Productions. The cover has old tape near the spline, and the lower left corner of the paper cover is torn away. NOTE: Of the many scripts I have in my possession, this is the "only one" that has even a photocopied signature of a major figure involved in the production.. Check out my OTHER ITEMS/SELLER STORE.
