    Description

    This is a
    vintage original Final Draft script
from the hit 1980's comedy television series,
    CHEERS
, created by James Burrows, Glen Charles, and Les Charles. It is from
    Season 4, Episode 16
    , which was entitled,
    Cliffy's Big Score
, in which Diane (Shelley Long) rejects Cliff's (John Ratzenberger) request to be his date for the postman's ball, so he asks Carla (Rhea Perlman), who will go with him--for a price. But what will he do when Diane reconsiders and decides to go with him? The cast includes Ted Danson, Woody Harrelson, George Wendt, Timothy Scott, and Al Rosen.
Written by Heide Perlman and dated
    December 11, 1985
, this vintage original Final Draft script consists of two acts in 41 pages on canary stock which were 3-hole punched and bound with two brass brads between a medium blue cardstock front and back cover. It is in overall very fine condition with a light 1.5 in. diagonal crease on the top right corner of the front cover; a 0.75 in. diagonal crease on the first 8 pages; and light signs of wear around the brads on the back cover. There are no missing pages, tears, stains, or other flaws, nor are there any handwritten notations present within.
    Cliffy’s Big Score
was the first episode where Kelsey Grammer was added to the opening credits with a new picture card. Nicholas Colasanto's picture card remained in the credits for the fourth season, without the name, until this episode.
Cliff promises Carla a date who looks like Robert Redford. Carla's actual date, Lucas, is played by Timothy Scott, who was in two films starring Robert Redford:
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
    (1969) and
    The Electric Horseman
    (1979).
