    Description

    This is a
vintage original Story Outline and Treatment
for the Paramount Television made-for-television movie,
    ACT OF VIOLENCE
, originally broadcast on November 10, 1979 on CBS and
    directed by Paul Wendkos
. Elizabeth Montgomery stars as a divorced career woman who's life changes when she is beaten and robbed by a street gang. The cast includes James Sloyan, Sean Frye, Roy Poole, Biff McGuire, and Michael Goodwin.
    Written by William Douglas Lansford
    and originally entitled,
The Victim: Anatomy of a Mugging
, this Story Outline and Treatment is dated January 29, 1976. It consists of 103 pages on off-white stock that were 3-hole punched and bound with two brass brass between separate medium brown cardstock front and back covers. What makes this of special interest is that there are various observations and comments about the treatment handwritten in pencil, such as, "Bullsh*t relationship non-caring," and other critiques from either a Reader in the Story Department or an executive. Adding further interest are the handwritten observations in pencil on the back of the last page. It is complete in overall in very fine condition. There is a 2 in. diagonal crease on the bottom right corner of the front cover that gets progressively smaller and is gone by page 35; some pages have been lightly dog-eared on the top or bottom corners;  a 1 in. diagonal crease on the top right corner of the front cover; and signs of wear on the bottom right corner around the crease.
