Original very rare notable episode from the fourth season of THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW.  One of Valerie Harper’s final MTM episodes before leaving for RHODA, this is the last Mary/Rhoda centric story that focuses on their friendship.  In this episode, BEST OF ENEMIES, Mary and Rhoda have a huge argument.
The other major note is MARY TYLER MOORE won her 2nd Emmy for the series for this episode.  She won her first Emmy the prior year for PUT ON A HAPPY FACE (Mary’s personal favorite episode and also written by this episode’s same writers), and her 3rd of course was for CHUCKLES BITES THE DUST.  Scripts for this show are hard to come by and the ones she won her Emmy’s for are virtually impossible.  Betty White’s personal script for CHUCKLES auctioned recently for thousands of dollars.
