Description

In it's second season, CHEERS was on the rise after winning several first season Emmy's and a growing audience with summer reruns.  Having ending that season with the beginning of the "will they or won't they" sexual banter, this is the only season that Sam and Diane were officially a couple.  Many storylines created the tension of their challenges to what everyone thought would never last so the threat of breaking up always seemed to persist.
In this episode, an older gentleman comes to the bar after hearing that he has only a few months to live.  After having a good time with the gang and Sam letting him indulge in re-living his youthful days as a bartender, he leaves a handwritten will on a napkin bequeathing 0,000 to the gang.  A really funny episode dealing with the battle over who gets what and a classic scene between Sam and Diane after the man modifies it to leave Sam in charge of the money.
