Marsh Warner Wooden Nursery Toy: Football Kicker - Artisan Dollhouse Miniature

This is a delightful hand crafted
moving
nursery toy all ready for a playroom or bedroom scene. This piece was made by Marsh Warner (Gerry Warner's husband)
.
This fantastic little gem is a "kicking" football player. The toy is made of wood and hand painted (the base is green for the grass field; the player is in white with green trim and helmet). From his outstretched right arm hangs a free-swinging wire, to which a brown football has been attached. Almost hidden within the green base is a tiny notched piece of wood, which, when pressed by your finger, pushes his left foot forward so that it hits the ball, which swings forward on its wire. This is such a clever little automata!
The piece is signed, with Marsh's makers mark, "MW." It also says "Phila" on the bottom, which likely means he made it for one of the old Philadelphia Miniaturia Shows.
I acquired this piece as part of a large collection of Marsh toys, from a dealer who bought them new, all directly from Marsh prior to 2015. It comes in its original clear plastic snap-case with Gerry and Marsh's label on the outside.

Shipping:
I generally ship via USPS Standard First Class Mail (2 - 3 business days), which provides tracking.
I ship on the same day I receive cleared payment; however, if payment is received late in the day, I will ship on next day. I ship every day except Sundays.
If you purchase multiple items and would like combined shipping, PLEASE CONTACT ME IN ADVANCE OF BUYING. I can no longer simply “refund” the excess shipping you were charged if you do not contact me by message in advance. International shipping is handled through Ebay’s Global Shipping Program (GSP).
