Cheers Season 6 Ep 135 And God Created Woodman by Jeffrey Duteil Final Draft script46 pages, written 11/13/1987
Good quality (slight discoloration on outside), punched holes with original brass fasteners.
Cheers is one of the best ensemble comedies ever made, with star performances by Ted Danson, Shelley Long, Kirstie Alley, Rhea Perlman, George Wendt, John Ratzenberger and Woody Harrelson, spawning a whole generation of funny but human writers, such as Ken Levine and David Isaacs, Phoef Sutton, Cheri Eichen and Bill Steinkellner, Dan Staley and Rob Long, Dan O'Shannon, David Angell, Peter Casey, David Lee and those are just the ones who went on to create their own series (including a little show called Frasier).
So naturally, when I went to Holywood in the early nineties, to meet some of the stars at a sponsored buffet, I went and bought as many Cheers scripts as I could. Which weren't even that many, since they were already sold out at that point. The scrips I managed to get were all from the sixth season and they are all exciting to read.
Episode 135, And God Created Woodman, was written by Jeffrey Duteil, a journeyman writer who never worked on staff, but did stand alone episodes for The Golden Girls, Cheers, Head of the Class, Roc, Saved By the Bell and many others.
Even though this is a final draft, it is surprising to see how much of this script survived. There are cuts and new jokes, but nowhere near as many as other episodes. Since Dutreil was an outside writer it makes me wonder how much of it was rewritten by the staff before the first read through.
Needless to say, these scripts are a great learning tool for any prospective writer (as is watching the actual episodes). Prices on these scripts vary. Most sitcom scripts for the last thirty years are available in the to range, depending on how succesfull and know the series were (I have some Becker scripts elsewhere in my current lots, which are hilarious but only sell at ). Someone has put up a whole set of Cheer scripts starting at 0, whch seems rediculous to me. I am starting lower, but the buy me now price is where I expect it to end up.
Postage has to be handled well, since I am in the Netherlands. We have lower rates for smaller packages, but sometimes it pays to get more than one.
I can send up to 350 grams for
I can send up to 2 kilos (2000 grams) for
Or I can send up to 5 kilos (5000 grams) for (automatically includes T&T)
Prices in Europe may be lower.
One bubblewrap envelope is 25 grams
One letterbox sized box is 92 grams
scripts vary from 200 to 300 per half hour
most scripts are printed onesided
So that means I can send one script for , but with hardly any extra protection. Again, it pays to COMBINE.
If you want to get more issues, do the math for an indication. After you win your bids, I WILL SEND YOU AN INVOICE QUICKLY. Please ignore whatever Ebay may be sending in my name. If I write, it will be personalized.
All this is without track or trace, which has been made impossibly expensive (about per package). I would not advise to get track and trace, since all you get for that is literaly that they can tell you where your package is stuck and no more.
But I will not be responsible for packages getting lost. If that happens I will try and work with you for an amiable solution
