Wolfgang Clay Lubricant works hand in hand with Wolfgang Elastic Poly Clay to give your vehicle the cleanest possible finish. Wolfgang Clay Lubricant protects the paint during the detailing clay process with a super slippery layer of polymers and wetting agents. The clay glides easily without scratching. Wolfgang Clay Lubricant is an essential ingredient to achieve the perfect, concours paint finish.
When applied on a freshly washed surface Wolfgang Clay Lubricant creates an ultra-fine, slick protective layer between the paint and the clay. This allows the clay to glide across the surface, acting as a magnet for any foreign particles left behind after the wash. When this step is complete, your car’s surface will actually be exfoliated, “purified” and free of contamination. The paint will feel like silk to the touch. When wax is applied over a freshly clayed paint finish, it only enhances the smooth, slick feeling of the paint.
Detailing clay works by gliding over the paint and removing contaminants.
All detailing clay needs some type of lubrication in order to work effectively without scratching the paint.
Some detailers use soapy water as a lubricant, but detergents in the car wash could break down the clay bar. The best option is a true clay lubricant, like Wolfgang Clay Lubricant.

Besides protecting the paint, Wolfgang Clay Lubricant makes it very easy to deep clean your vehicle with clay. The clay literally glides across the wet surface with little to no effort. You will be amazed at how much debris is lifted from the car with each pass. Rail dust, tree sap, and industrial fallout are all removed. When you feel no grabbing or resistance whatsoever between the car and the clay, the claying is complete. Simply wipe away any residue with a clean towel. You are left with a smooth, perfectly clean finish.
Wolfgang Clay Lubricant is safe on glass, metal, and all types of paint.
It doesn’t leave any type of residue or coating. When you’re finished claying a section simply wipe off the excess lubricant.
If the clay bar left any residue, mist it with Wolfgang Clay Lubricant and wipe it off with a soft microfiber towel.
Tech notes:
Claying with Wolfgang Poly Clay and Wolfgang Clay Lubricant twice a year is sufficient. For the ultimate outcome, follow claying with Wolfgang Paintwork Polish Enhancer, then protect and seal in the shine with Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0. This will yield an unbelievable showroom-quality finish.
Directions:
Wash vehicle first. It is not necessary to dry it.
Spray a fine mist of
Wolfgang Clay Lubricant
on a 2 square foot area.
Rub Wolfgang Elastic Poly Clay Bar across the wet surface in a back and forth motion.
The clay will grab at first as it encounters contamination on the paint surface. This is normal. When the clay glides smoothly, the surface is clean.
Use the lubricant to remove any clay residue using a microfiber towel. Wipe dry.
Inspect the clay after each section. If it appears soiled, reshape it to reveal a clean portion. If dropped on the ground, discard the clay.

Orders received Monday through Friday by 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) normally ship the same day. Orders normally ship within 1-2 business days. Once your order has been shipped we will send your tracking number to the email address provided.
Returns
Items must be returned within 30 days in like new condition with original packaging. * See exceptions below. To return an item, request a return through the eBay Return Center to receive a Return Authorization Number and instructions. Write this number on the outside of the package. Products returned without authorization will not be accepted.
The cost of the returned items, minus shipping charges, will be promptly credited via the payment method used. It may take 5-7 days for your bank to process the credit.
If you have received a defective item, please contact us immediately for return/exchange information.
Autopia Car Care covers return shipping costs if the return is due to a manufacturing defect or as a result of our error. We will provide you with a pre-paid label to return the product(s) to us in this situation.
Items returned for reasons other than defect or Autopia Car Care error will not be provided with a pre-paid return label. These returns include reasons such as "changed my mind," "did not like the product" and "ordered the incorrect product".
Custom-made items cannot be returned. These items are made for your specific vehicle. Custom items include, but are not limited to: car covers, custom seat covers, Lloyd floor mats, and custom license plates. Please verify that the information provided for a custom item is correct before placing your order. Custom items are noted as such on the product page. We can only accept returns on custom items in the event of a manufacturer error.
Covercraft: Per Covercraft, we cannot accept returns on the following car cover fabrics: Form Fit, WeatherShield HP, WeatherShield HD, and Sunbrella. A 15% restocking fee will be charged on all other returned Covercraft items, including ready-fit car covers, Canine Covers, pet products, and Seat Gloves.
Electronics: Returned electronics (including buffers, battery tenders, tire gauges, vacuums, and blowers) are subject to a 20% restocking fee if product has been used or opened. There is no restocking fee for a defective product returned in exchange for the same product.
Garage Mats: Per the manufacturers, a 15% restocking fee will be charged on all returned garage flooring/mats. A 15% restocking fee will also be charged on all returned Tornador Car Cleaning Tools.
